Station 71 was built in 1984 as a volunteer station to upgrade the existing facilities. The station was built by volunteer firefighters from start to finish. This is the main station for the District and is also the administration location. Station 71’s primary response area is downtown Julian, West on Hwy 78 to the Inaja Memorial, East on Hwy 78 to the Banner Store, South on Hwy 79 to the KQ Ranch, as well as the several smaller communities of Whispering Pines, Kentwood I & II, Pine Hills, Wynola, and Banner. |
